It was a great pleasure for me to attend Microsoft Student Partners Meetup 2020 as one of the Microsoft Student Partner for Nepal. I got to know many things from more than 15 fellow MSPs and our inspiring mentors. The meetup event was organized at Amrit Science Campus with the exquisite support of ASCOL I.T. Club on 8th Feb,2020. The event was started with the introduction of MSP program presented by the only Gold MSP for Nepal, Mr. Sambhav Bhurtel.
We also got to interact with respected Microsoft Most Valuable Professional, Mr. Pradeep Kandel. He proffered Mission of Microsoft and History of MSP program. Also, he shared his impressive knowledge on various aspects of Cloud Computing.
It was a great experience to learn from our senior MSPs as well as fellow MSPs. One of our senior MSPs and one of the organizers of BernHack, Mr. Manish Bhattarai shared is valuable knowledge on organizing hackathons based on his experiences of organizing BernHack. He gave insights about various aspects to be taken care before organizing a successful hackathon.
One of the most inspiring persons we got to interact with on that day was, Mr. Shishir Shrestha, one of the Imagine Cup Winner who shared his experience on journey of Imagine Cup at Malaysia.
One of our fellow MSP Mr. Anwesh Budhathoki shared his knowledge on cloud computing.
Another fellow MSP Mr. Aadit Pant made us aware about the process of the climbing the ladder of MSP levels.
Another fellow MSP Mr. Prajin Khadka made us aware about some of the coolest applications of deep learning. He demonstrated some of the applications such as Sketch2code, Talk to Transformer, Which Face is Real etc.
We lastly watched the video messages for MSPs in Nepal from three of the MSPs viz. Dawood Iddris, Vedant Bahel and Salman Chishti from different countries representing MSP Inspire team.
At the end of the event, Mr. Sambhav Bhurtel officially concluded the event giving some tips on MSP community, MSP Inspire, Content Creation as MSP and many more.
We had a photo session during the break time in between the session. Some glimpses of it are :
Although we had some difficulties occurring during the event, the meetup was successful, and I enjoyed it a lot. The main motto of the meetup was to build a network between MSPs from Nepal by bringing all of them in a single place, which i think is achieved. I am eagerly waiting for the similar meetups to be organized in future and to meet the fellow MSPs, mentors and professionals to gain and share knowledge.
